I'd recommend skimming the text once completing a round instead, but if you're only after getting the endings and not the extra content then skipping works just fine for that. This will be useful for trying to get the Friend and Sweet endings for each of the characters, though a fair warning that once you reach one of the endings for a character it skips through the dialogue regardless if you've seen it or not. ^^^ The game has a skip feature where once you read through the dialogue once you're able to skip it in the future.
