Some folks fear a loss in performance with the guards. I wonder why these prop guards do not come with it. Too much risk in the craft brushing up against an object thereby stopping an engine. Its best to perform a mini-practice session before flight. If you dont operate the drone a few times a week, you might become confused. I think little stickers placed on the controller as a reminder. The other hard part is remembering exactly what the controls do. Basically, you want to look at the monitor and wherever the monitor is facing is where the craft is pointed. The hardest part about the craft is knowing which way the craft is turned. I feel very confident with the craft by now, but still want to take it out to the field a few more times to practice precision landing onto a small area. I think I might have to uninstall and reinstall the Pilot app to make sure. You can still operate the Phantom with the controller if this situation occurs. The problem Ive been having is sometimes the DJI program crashes on my Nexus tablet. Its pretty easy flying the craft when its clearly in sight, however, when its barely in sight or not in sight you have to fly by the video on the screen.

The craft seems quite a bit faster and now it has no limits except for the controllers range. Today I took the Phantom 3 off of beginner mode. Keep in mind this is my first time with this and don't know the tricks/tips to utilizing the camera. It will do for web work, but not much more I believe. The camera is good for a compact camera, but not at all DSLR quality. The JPGs on the camera are very compressed. Highly suggest taking pictures in the DNG format and processing on Lightroom. Lightroom does have a profile for the DJI camera and the pictures look sharper than the JPGS from the camera. Here are the pictures I developed through Lightroom. I am practicing out on an open baseball field until I feel its time to move on to bigger and better places.

I read all the literature including the manual and watched the instructional videos before flying. I am going slow as this is my first drone. I don't want to get the first version of anything. I would have bought a Yuneec or the 3DR Solo if they were on their 3rd version like DJI. I went with this brand and model because DJI is an older company and has a few versions under their belt.
