The trailer in the announcement is very short but has some interesting details that the announcement is hidden in it. It’s going to begin with the PlayStation 5, Xbox 360, and NESS and TSX, and TSX, and TSX, the Epic PC. The trailer clearly stated where we could play Alan Wake. With the remaster of the first game impressing everybody on its first appearance, now was the time to announce that the long-awaited sequel was back in development. As part of the AWE expansion, Alan was back in the picture. Since then, we hadn’t heard of the intrepid writer until he came to a terribly unlikely location. The sequel was cancelled and instead, a game called The American Nightmare, which included an additional downloadable game, was released.
There was much to the end, but that wasn’t intended to be until the end. After two DLC episodes, a sequel was launched and was to add to the first game, so that it could be revived. After many aquilitions and changes in scope and direction, the final product was eventually a cult hit but did not hit the mass market at first. The original Alan Wake is a game that went through a huge troubled development before its release.
